"Don’t be mistaken”

27993556-27993559-large OK, so I am in the midst of looking for Rocker Chicks for this post, and all I come up with is either trashy “wanna be’s” or teachers that took advantage of their students. Despite finding the dregs of the earth in the search, we moved some Earth of our own on Tuesday night. This night of Guitar Legends made everything better for those who love some great guitar licks and some serious Rock and Roll. We throw in our share of surprises and even drill down to the featured artist (Soundgarden) at two different times in the show.

“Guitars that made us all hero’s”

image description

When Scot and I were putting the show together we decided that we really needed to throw in some serious tracks to get you guys involved with your massive amounts of air guitar playing that would be going on throughout Episode #26. If you listen to this whole show and can admit that you didn’t at least make a gesture of “air guitar”, then you seriously need to see the Rock Dr. We loved this show and we hope you do as well.

“Some things will never change, except for the music”

PROPANE TANK PICSome things will never change except for the music because the music is what evolves us. At least that is what I think…During the show, I was mentioning to some of the fans that you could cook without the propane during this show cause the music cooked. I hope that you enjoy it as much as we did. It truly kicked ass, and if you agree…leave a comment.

When change is GREAT!

Changes...

So the more and more that I thought about this, I figured that I would let people know that we have made some changes at Random Access Radio, courtesy of Scot Duke our Social Medial Director. Yes, the website has changed and the furniture has been moved and all for the better. The one thing that Scot couldn't move was the pool. Everything else was moved and the improvements kept on happening all the way through the change at the website.

You will find at the top of the site now a page that will tell you that we are BACK on video once again at UStream and also using the chat interface from there as well. We are finding the new site to be very user friendly and we hope that you are enjoying your experience when you visit.

You will also see that out "Comment" button at the bottom of each post is very visible and we would love to get some feedback from you while you are visiting the site, or after checking out one of our shows.

Scot deserves a boat load of thanks for extending his passion for music and RAR to get the website looking like it does, and for that we (I) thank him.

When are we on?

Don't forget, we are live on Tuesday nights starting at 8:45 pm EST in the Green Room and we push the RECORD button at approx 9:15 pm EST for the live show of Random Access Radio. We will be on the UStream feed where you can interact with me and others that are attending the show! Come by and say hello...The word is that it takes about 8 minutes of Random Access Radio to be hooked on the weekly show....Give us a try...you will love the quality, we promise that!

Let us know what you think!

Random Access Radio + Skype

Well, it is official....

We are headed to Skype for use of the Chat! After meetings, and calls on this issue after last week having what we called "chat overload" we have decided to make it VERY easy for you all to join is on Skype for the chat portion of the show. We will NEVER reach a limit of the # of posts that we can chat and also no limit on characters in each post.

In these discussions, we asked...What about the old chat? I figure this week for Episode #25, we'll leave it there and then take it off for Episode #26 or the next Inprompt2 show. We are all excited about the ability to chat on Skype seeing where it is stable, easy to use and will never make us "stop" chatting till the next hour. (that was pathetic)

So with that...Here is how you can join us on show night(s): Download Skype at www.skype.com

After downloading Skype, click on the "Contacts" tab and select "New Contact."

Once you have chosen the Contacts tab and selected "New Contact". type in "Random Access Radio" and click "Find."

This will bring up Random Access Radio in your contacts list and it will alert us that you would like to be added to the chat on show nights.

That's all you have to do. I hope this is easy enough to navigate, and we'll see you on the show!

Episode #22 "Welcome to a Bump-A-Thon"

(Click on the Flyleaf photo and wait a second for the show to load! Enjoy...)

Random Access Radio kicked off the night of Episode #22 in fine fashion in the Green Room starting at 8:45 pm EST as we have been each Tuesday night with some great hits and a warm up as to what was coming in the live show. The open to this show was set up over the past week and featured our DSM (Director of Social Media) Scot Duke showing us that he has a hidden talent in recording liners and bumpers for the show. I can see him leaving us for a career in voice over work. I hope that doesn't happen to soon.

Over the past few days we have been talking about the opening to this show and invited people to the new Random Access Radio Campfire Series for an "inside" look as to what we are thinking for the upcoming shows and what other random thoughts we can talk about. In the Campfire Series, we do play music as well like in the old "Imprompt2" shows.

This show is packed with over 30 high quality kick ass tracks including a new segment on the show called the Random Access Radio Retro Series that took many by surprise. After listening to the show, if you have a suggestion for the Retro segment, please leave a comment and let us know what 3 you would like played.

We have talked about our featured artist a lot this week and it was Incubus. We played some smokin' hits from them and the reaction was 110% positive.

Also, we had our Military Tribute for our troops around the globe with a showcase of Alice in Chains tracks. That is a must listen!

Overall a great night on the live show with some amazing tracks at some of the best quality that we could find.

Enjoy the show...and come and join us every Tuesday for very live experience starting at 8:45 pm EST. till 11:15 pm EST.

Be well,

CK

After coming off the past few weeks with some road blocks to overcome, we pull off another set that rocked the house. It seems that each week now we are coming up with new things for the show and keeping it fresh makes for a great show.

This show has a wide array of tracks in it and it includes a "Jersey Rock" section and a personal 3'fer from a caller from Washington State.

The featured artist was The Steve Miller Band, and the hits didn't disappoint.

Take a listen and comment on the show and let us know what you thought of Episode #21 on Random Access Radio.

Welcome CK Back to Random Access Radio -  BLOG

Yes, golfers like music too!

Dude! How Excited Can Someone Be?

RAR FB Logo
I am excited to announce my involvement as Director of Social Media for Random Access Radio.  Yes, I like music just as much as Golf.

As is the case with everything I and my company, Innovative Business Golf Solutions, take on as projects, it is the quality of the product being produced by Random Access Radio (RAR) that drew me to getting involved with this start up.

Founded by Chris Kulturide , Random Access Radio has gone beyond the traditional ‘Blah-Blah’ and ‘Yada-yada’ of internet produced music programs.  What Chris has created was done so out of the love for quality music.   His drive to share how music can REALLY be heard online now has developed into filling a vase void in the quality music broadcasted over the internet.

The popularity of online music has been around for a long time.  There is not a moment that goes by that someone is not sharing a tune with me or the entire world.  Having listened to music of all kinds my entire life and having sat in the studio for a few years learning how the music that goes onto a recording is put together, what I miss with listening to music online is the quality of sound.  Chris is driven to produce for his listeners.

Why Random Access Radio?

I ran across Chris’s (or CK as he is known) project through his Virtual Executive Producer, Paul Swansen, who I have known for sometime now through the Business Golf Country Club.  I caught hold of Paul’s efforts to draw attention to RAR through Twitter and went over to check it out.  Being a cynic at heart I was expecting the ‘Same-ol-same-ol” 56k level of sound many internet programs produce.  OHHHH, how I was wrong.

Off the Scale on the OMG Meter

The quality sound CK and Paul produced is nearly unheard of online.  The music is being  piped out across the bandwidth to the world at near (and in a few cases has reached) Studio Quality level of sound.  My reaction when I tuned in for my first listen through my studio audio set up was..”Holy S##t”!

Now, I know most online music listeners have not really experienced how music is truly produced in the studio since most radio stations and even the CD that is produced is ‘Dumb Down’ to the lowest common denominator in technology the consumer is able to use.  Nothing wrong with that..it was the way things had to be produced ‘back in the day’ since most people did not have the capability to listen to Studio Level quality music..so why produce it at that level?

Well, now, thanks to technology, faster broadband speeds and all that boring stuff that is out today, music can be heard just like the artist recorded it.  This advancement in technology has allowed the music industry to go back to their original studio master recordings and reproduce the classics at the highest output level possible.

This means, Chris can put the tunes up for you to listen to on your computer at the highest level of quality produced.  That is the theme for the Random Access Radio program which is why I agreed to get involved in helping get RAR out to the music lovers around the world.

Rock the World

RAR’s playlist runs true to the solid sound of the Rock genre of music.  Tunes rang naturally from the Classic to sharp edge of Indie New Artist.  Oh, and NO!  There will probably not be any Lady GaGa played..but don’t be surprised with what you may hear on this weekly broadcast.

Random Access Radio airs Live each Tuesday evening from 9:15PM to 11:15PM EST…or longer as is the case with CK who gets on a roll and hates to stop.  The RAR Live program and the recorded previous programs can be accessed through the Random Access Radio web site at www.randomaccessradio.com

RAR Social Media

You can join in the fun and merriment of social networking with other fans of the show on the RAR Facebook Fan Page.  Join the RAR Facebook Group so you can be alerted to the program’s schedule and to the now be advised on the famous ‘RAR Impromptu Shows’ CK puts up at unscheduled times just to kick out the jams for awhile.

You can comment on the show or on the topic of discussion for the today at the RAR Blog site and of course…what the heck would RAR do with out being on Twitter..geez.

I’ll be directing the Social Media for Random Access Radio so start looking to read and hear more about RAR right here.  Plus, also over the entire IBGS enterprise.

Hey! Golfers like music too.  So, if you are looking for great tunes to load to your iPhone or iPod to listen to while on the driving range..do we have the quality music for you.

I look forward to seeing you everywhere out here in La-La-Land..let me know how I can help.
